Milverton Methodist Church

Milverton Methodist Church is a small village Church, situated halfway up Silver Street. It serves the nearby communities of Houndsmoor, Chipley, Fitzhead, Wiveliscombe and further afield, Bishop's Lydeard. Sunday Services are at 10.30 am, and once a month there is a joint United Service with St. Michael's Parish Church, alternating between the Methodist Church and St. Michael's.

Every Wednesday morning from 10.30 am to 12.15pm there is a Community Cafe with delicious home made cakes. On the last Wednesday in the month light lunches are also served. This has proved to be most popular and is well supported by a good number of the local residents.

We also have a monthly house group.

The Chapel was renovated in 2000, the wooden pews taken out and the floor carpeted, allowing comfortably upholstered chairs to be used. This has proved to be most beneficial when using the Church as a Cafe, so that tables can be brought in. At the back of the Church are a well-equipped kitchen and a meeting room, which is used not only for after service refreshments, but also by a number of outside local groups.
